One of the things I think about a lot is: How are some of the most basic things we take for granted… How are they made?
I happened across this site that talks about how sugar is made.
We have to consider that in a truly local and voluntary society that we may not have access to many of the things that we have come to assume are basic parts of daily life.
There is also a lot of history behind sugar as we know it today.
